    A closure panel (48) for a composite closure which is formed of a corrosive metal and while the metal of the closure panel (48) is coated on both edges, in the formation thereof a raw edge (42) develops. In lieu of a straight peripheral flange (34) terminating in such raw edge (42), the peripheral flange (34) has been modified to terminate in a curl (50) with the raw edge (42) being protected by the curl (50).

    The invention relates to containers, namely to metal lids for containers.
    The purpose of the invention is to increase the corrosion resistance.
    Figure 1 shows the cover, in which the edge is placed on the inner surface of the flange, a vertical section; figure 2 is the same, the edge is placed on the outer surface of the flange.
    The metal face panel of the composite cover including a plastic fixing element 1 with corrugations 2 comprises a disk 3 of metal susceptible to corrosion, with a flange 4 having an untreated edge 5 and a gasket 6. The flange 4 is bent to form a roller 7 so that its end face contacts with flange. In this case, the roll has an annular shape.
    The roller 7 can be placed outside the flange (figure 2).
    The edge 5 can be placed on the outer surface of the flange.
    The swath can be placed symmetrically relative to the flange.
    Edge 5 can be placed on the inner surface of the flange (figure 1).
    The gasket 6 can be mounted with the possibility of contact with the surface of the roll.
    The S-fa metal disc 3 is coated on both sides. The roller 7 forms a surface for engagement with the protrusions 8 located on the locking element 1 in order to reduce the resistance of the disk 3 when the element 1 is rotated when the container lid is opened.
    During operation of the cover, protecting the untreated edge of the disc 3 in the event of flange bending to form a roll outside the flange and inside it helps to reduce corrosion of the untreated edge. If, nevertheless, rust is little formed on the edge, it is imperceptible to the consumer and cannot in any way get into the product in the container.

    Claims (6)

    1.Metal end panel of a composite cover comprising a plastic fixing member comprising a disk of metal susceptible to corrosion with a flange having an untreated edge and a gasket, in order to increase the corrosion resistance, the flange is bent to form a roll in this way that its edge is in contact with the flange, while in the cross section the roll has an annular shape.

    3. The panel according to claim 2, characterized in that the edge is placed on the outer surface of the flange.

    4. The panel according to claim 1, characterized in that the roll is arranged symmetrically with respect to the flange.

    6. The panel according to claim 4, wherein the gasket is mounted with the possibility of contact with the roll surface.
